Jonas Van Vossole
Jonas Van Vossole is an Activist, Researcher and Professor based in Coimbra. Assistant Professor of Political Theory at ISEIT in Viseu and co-coordinator of the Ecology and Society research laboratory at CES in Coimbra, he is the author of Capitalism, Crisis and Democracy (Brill, 2026). He is part of the editorial board of Maio. Holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Coimbra and master's degrees in Political Science and Complementary Economics from Ghent University. His research lies at the intersection of political theory, political economy, and political ecology, with particular interests in democracy, labour, capitalism, social movements, ecological transition, and Eco-Marxism. His postdoctoral research focuses on the relationship between labour, ecology, and political economy. His work has been published in journals like Capitalism Nature Socialism, Review, Critique, Journal of World-Systems Research, Patterns of Prejudice and Revista Crítica.
